Lisa Jacobson always knew she wanted to work in the public sector. A graduate of the Faculty of Law’s French Common Law Program, she moved from an early-career specialization in intellectual property law, to a broad and varied career at the Department of Justice.
In this video, Ms. Jacobson describes her journey through various legal service units at DOJ to her current position as legal counsel with Transport Canada Legal Services. The great thing about working at Justice, she explains, is the possibility for exposure to a wide range of different government services, with each new area presenting unique responsibilities and fresh experiences with new co-workers. “I really do feel like we’re part of the team,” she says. “That’s one of the really unique things I enjoy about DOJ.”
