The Legislative Texts in Canada 

The Canadian legislative and regulatory process is based on the parliamentary institutions developed over centuries in Great Britain. Professor John Mark Keyes outlines this history, which goes back to the early days of the formation of the English Parliament, when requests for legislation were submitted to the King by his advisors – the nobles – in the form of petitions.
