The change of Facebook&#8217;s name to Meta in 2021 marked the beginning of a new chapter: that of the metaverse. This virtual world gives a whole new meaning to reality and is even said to have the potential to change the way our society functions. But few people really understand what the metaverse is all about. For lawyers, an important question looms on the horizon: what will the metaverse mean for the practice of law?   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To demystify the subject, law students put important questions to two specialists: Karen Eltis, a Full Professor specializing in law and technology, and Bianca Lessard, a lawyer at Renno &amp; Co, the first Canadian firm to open its doors in the metaverse.
