The year 2025 marked a turning point for Jurivision, driven primarily by the launch of Supreme Court Experience<\/em>. This project is by far the most ambitious ever undertaken by our team. Building on growing recognition and an expanding network of partners, the platform continues to break new ground in legal knowledge mobilization.<\/p><\/p>\n\n With nearly 10,000 active users worldwide, more than 100,000 views on YouTube, and a 50% increase in total watch time from last year, Jurivision continues to strengthen its position as a leading reference in online legal education.<\/p>\n\n \u201cBy deploying our expertise through a large-scale production such as Supreme Court Experience<\/em>, we demonstrated this year that it is possible to mobilize legal knowledge differently, without compromising rigour. Learn. Discover.<\/strong><\/p><\/h3>\n\n The result of more than two years of work by our interdisciplinary team, Jurivision launched Supreme Court Experience<\/em><\/strong><\/a> this fall during a major event held at the Innova Space<\/a>. This innovative educational project brings together legal knowledge, visual storytelling, and multimedia creation to explore the functioning and evolution of the Supreme Court of Canada from its modest beginnings, as well as the extraordinary stories that have unfolded within its walls.<\/p><\/p>\n\n The docu-course Keys to the Court<\/em><\/strong><\/a> combines documentary vignettes and interactive content to offer multiple perspectives: those of judges called upon to decide complex cases, experienced litigators, individuals whose lives have been profoundly shaped by their judicial journey to the Supreme Court, as well as academics whose research focuses on the country\u2019s highest court.<\/p><\/p>\n\n The immersive video game Echoes of the Court<\/em><\/strong><\/a> offers a distinctive experience of its own. Players step into the role of a custodian and writer who, alone at night, walks the corridors of the Supreme Court in search of \u201cechoes\u201d: fragments of stories left behind by those who once passed through the building.<\/p><\/p>\n\n Following its launch, Echoes of the Court<\/em> ranked in the Top 100 of the App Store for several weeks, while the Keys to the Court<\/em> docu-course attracts thousands of users. The project also generated significant media coverage, with team members giving interviews to CBC<\/a> and Radio-Canada<\/a> as well as participating in various podcasts in both Canada<\/a> and the United Kingdom<\/a>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n From Trade Wars to Surrogacy<\/strong><\/p><\/h3>\n\n In 2025, Jurivision published 33 visual posts, addressing a wide range of topics\u2014including the trade war launched by the Trump administration in the United States<\/a>, federal government decision-making processes<\/a>, and the challenges of digital technologies<\/a>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n True to its mission of training the next generation of jurists, Jurivision also supervised five student projects this year. These projects explored diverse issues such as art law<\/a>, the daily life of foster families<\/a>, and the challenges of social reintegration after incarceration, told through the testimony of a former inmate<\/a>. In addition, the Jurivision team continues to rely on the contributions of several students, who actively participate in projects while gaining hands-on production experience alongside their studies.<\/p><\/p>\n\n Another highlight of the year was the second installment of the documentary series The Right to Farm<\/em><\/a>, in collaboration with Professor Sarah Berger Richardson, a specialist in agri-food law at the University of Ottawa. This new \u201cJuridoc\u201d examines a phenomenon that is both devastating and little known: barn fires.<\/p>\n\n Jurivision also continued its collaboration with the Revue g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de droit<\/em><\/a> to produce short educational videos that make legal research more accessible, while highlighting the authors who publish in the journal. Subjects discussed included the reform of Quebec\u2019s surrogacy law<\/a> and inequalities in legal protection between companion animals and farm animals<\/a>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n 2026: New Initiatives, Same Ambition<\/strong><\/p><\/h3>\n\n Building on a constantly expanding network of collaborators and the momentum generated by the launch of Supreme Court Experience, Jurivision is ready to keep up the pace in 2026.<\/p>\n\n One of the major initiatives in the coming year will be the development of a hybrid and multimedia master\u2019s program focused on business and governance, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law.<\/p>\n\n In addition, significant efforts are currently underway to expand the reach of Supreme Court Experience and to facilitate the integration of its educational tools into high schools. At the same time, our team is continuing the development of a docu-course focused on the over-judicialization of individuals living with mental health challenges. Other projects are also in development, notably on language rights, access to justice in Latin America, and succession law.<\/p>\n\n
