In collaboration with CIRCEM and AISLF, Jurivision presents a series of interviews conducted as part of the XXII\u1d49 Congr\u00e8s international des sociologues de langue fran\u00e7aise<\/em><\/a>. Entitled \u201cSciences, Savoirs et Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s\u201d, the Congress brought together over a thousand francophone and francophile scientists at the University of Ottawa in July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this visual post, Professor Olivier Servais explains the rise of digital over the last few decades and the major transformations that have resulted. He highlights a number of technological challenges, including the energy question and digital dependency. He discusses the impact of digital technology on our relationship with information, and affirms the importance of education and the development of critical and reflexive skills for democracy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
