In collaboration with CIRCEM and AISLF, Jurivision presents a series of interviews conducted as part of the XXII\u1d49 Congr\u00e8s international des sociologues de langue fran\u00e7aise<\/a>. Entitled \u201cSciences, Savoirs et Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s\u201d, the Congress brought together over a thousand francophone and francophile scientists at the University of Ottawa in July 2024.<\/p>\n\n

In this post, Professor Baptiste Godrie discusses his work in the fields of health and social services, and the fight against poverty. He discusses the existence, recognition and transversality of different types of knowledge, including experiential knowledge. He questions the language of \u201ccollecting\u201d or \u201charvesting\u201d data, and stresses the importance of reflection on the ethics of research, and of dialogue with the people involved.<\/p>\n\n
